Our Vision

Gloucestershire Community Energy Coop aims to develop local renewable energy generation that reduces dependence on fossil fuels, thus cutting carbon emissions. We want to support local communities to save energy and reduce their fuel bills. read on

City Works is a community centre in the Barton area of Gloucester. It houses social enterprises and local community projects who rent affordable office accommodation as well as a Scrapstore, art supplies shop, conference and events facilities, an art room and a dance studio. Public display at City Works

A public display has finally been fitted in the lobby of City Works. It shows that over 10,000 kWh have already been generated since December when the panels were fitted. Planning permission no longer required for non-domestic installations

From April 6 this year planning permission will no-longer be required to install solar PV or solar thermal on non-domestic buildings.
